GRIEF AND LOSS COACHING
A safe space to navigate loss, at your own pace.
GEORGIE WOODS
Georgie is an informed Grief & Loss Coach.
She supports people through the many forms loss can take, including bereavement, divorce, relationship breakdown, estrangement, illness, redundancy, baby loss and changes in identity or circumstances.
You don't have to have it figured out.
You may be trying to keep going at work while struggling to get through the day. You might be looking after children, managing relationships, making decisions or simply trying to work out who you are now.
You don't need to arrive with a clear problem, a plan or the right words. Loss doesn't always look the way we expect it to, and it isn't always connected to death. A relationship ending, becoming estranged from someone you love, losing a job, facing illness or letting go of a future you had imagined can all bring their own form of grief.
We can start wherever you are.
Grief is personal, unpredictable and doesn’t follow a neat process.
It can affect how we think, feel, work, relate to others and see ourselves. Sometimes it is overwhelming; sometimes it looks like anger, anxiety, numbness or exhaustion. And sometimes it catches us by surprise, long after we thought we were supposed to be feeling better.
There is no right way to grieve, and no timetable for getting through it.
Sometimes what’s needed isn't another strategy or solution, but somewhere safe to spend time with what has happened, to speak openly, be heard and begin to make sense of what life looks like now.
Companioning, rather than fixing.
Georgie's role is to companion you rather than try to fix you; to walk alongside you while you navigate something that may feel unfamiliar, painful or overwhelming.
This means listening carefully, without needing to fill every silence or turn every conversation into a solution. It means being curious without pushing, allowing space for emotions to emerge and helping you stay connected to yourself when life feels difficult to make sense of.
As an experienced coach, Georgie is comfortable working with both the practical and emotional realities of change. Conversations might move between what you are feeling, what is happening at home, how you are functioning at work and what you are beginning to notice about yourself.
Grief doesn't always sit neatly in one part of life. It can change relationships, confidence, identity, priorities and the way we see the future. Sometimes the work is simply about having somewhere to put all of that for a while.
CLIENT FEEDBACK FROM
L Morgan, Founder
"It was powerfully emotional and very helpful to support me in facing my fears and feelings about what is coming.”
“I worked with Georgie to deal with the anticipatory grief surrounding my Mum and her illness. It was powerfully emotional and very helpful to support me in facing my fears and feelings about what is coming. Georgie’s presence made it safe for me to be vulnerable and share the thoughts and feelings I have been holding onto and didn’t feel I could share anywhere else. By the end of the sessions, I felt a weight had lifted, I knew more about my grief, myself and the journey I am on and how to work with what comes up now and in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone navigating the hard things in life.”
Moving through, rather than moving on.
There can be a lot of pressure around grief to “move on”, find closure or get back to normal. But sometimes there isn't a normal to get back to.
The work may be less about leaving something behind and more about finding a way to live alongside what has happened, while gradually discovering what comes next.
You don't need to know exactly what you need before you begin. We can start with whatever feels most present for you.
And sometimes the first step isn't knowing what comes next.
It's having enough space to breathe, share and perhaps even speak the unspoken.
